After decades of experience in the sector, Vittorio Boin, thanks to his strong entrepreneurial spirit, founded Microtech in 2002, based in a small warehouse in Chiavazza, next to Biella. His precise intention is to identify the company in the personalized service to its customers in the field of 360° mechanics.
Microtech immediately takes care of providing overhaul and mechanical maintenance to various companies in the area and later is pleased to design innovative automated solutions and assemble some work groups developed for the customers themselves.
At the same time, in parallel, it begins to commit itself to the realization and production of parts for third parties with manual-traditional machines. In the following years, the goodness of the work carried out leads to a constant increase in demand and Vittorio alone is no longer sufficient to cover the requests.
Starting from 2012, Microtech has been implementing its staff with the first employees, which will increase in number from year to year, and at the same time equips itself with cutting-edge machinery to encourage the search for excellence in its work.
The real technological renewal of the company begins in 2016. Microtech strengthens the technical department and focuses on CAD-CAM technology in the design and programming of mechanical processing.
In 2019 Microtech, thanks to continuous growth, moves its headquarters from Chiavazza to Ponderano (near Biella) tripling the available work surface, which allows further steps forward to be taken, among which the realization of the metrology room stands out and where the transition to industry 4.0 with networked management of all production processes.
Two years later, in 2018, with the acquisition of an industrial designer/plant engineer and a maintenance technician, the design, overhaul and maintenance service in industrial automation was extended and completed with the addition of the electrical sector.

In addition, Microtech reorganizes itself at a company level by creating a sales office, which deals with digital marketing, management of newborn social channels and targeted research of new customers and suppliers, even abroad. The idea of growing the Microtech’s brands was born during the pandemic due to Sars-Cov-2, in which Microtech immediately reconverted, designing protective shield and guards made of 100% recyclable material. The target: Microtech want to take care of its image locally, nationwide and internationally. Today, Microtech provides full support to the customer who was in Vittorio’s vision at the time of the company’s birth. Starting from the elaboration of the project at the customer’s request or in the realization of the component according to drawing or sample, continuing with the supply of raw materials, the care in the choices of the less expensive and green processing, the execution, the certified dimensional control or thermal and surface treatment of components.
